Biography:

Jeremy is the eldest of four children. The son of a diplomat, Jeremy was brought up in many different countries, including Iran, Zimbabwe and Belgium. His father has recently been appointed to be the British Ambassador in Denmark. Jeremy lives in the centre of Taunton ith his wife Charlotte, and is also closely engaged in local activity in the other communities across the area. He takes a special interest in education and is a Governor at Ladymead Community School in north Taunton.

Jeremy attended Nottingham University, where he studied politics. Jeremy was the Liberal Democrat candidate for Enfield Southgate in the 1997 General Election, when Michael Portillo famously lost his seat in parliament. He then went on to work closely with Paddy Ashdown and Charles Kennedy as the Director of Press and Broadcasting for the national Liberal Democrats.

Jeremy also has widespread experience of the world beyond politics, including working in the private sector for financial-consultancy Dewe Rogerson. More recently he has worked for Edelman Communications Worldwide, and is currently employed by ReputationInc, specialising in corporate reputation management.
